ABOUT ME

I aim to be a Journalist for a long time ago.

My passion for studying Journalism starts with my hobbies. I love watching and reading news and I believed that the media plays an essential role in spreading the information and knowledge to the general public. However, the press in Hong Kong seems to be on the wrong path. Many of them are not working for the truth or justice. They are working to increase the sales volume instead. They just want to catch the eyeballs of the readers and forget what ethics are. This phenomenon has inspired me to be a journalist.

When I was Secondary 5, I attended a course of applied learning which is called Magazine Editing and Production. It is my first time to learn about Journalism. The enjoyable lessons have further strengthened my determination.

After I was graduated from secondary school, I decided to continue my studies on Journalism to move forward to my dream. Before studying at HKBU, I have finished a higher diploma programme about Chinese Journalism in CUSCS.It equips me with various skills that I need as a journalist or an editor.

Someone says that ‘Curiosity kills a cat and lack of curiosity kills a reporter.’. It is important for reporters to be curious. I am a curious person and I want to know everything that happens around me. I like to explore the world in different ways such as reading books, watching films and news. These hobbies can always give me some inspirations.
